Q What things in life could you do without?

"E-mail and voice mail. I realize there is a place for it, but there are some real downfalls. E-mail has created an instant society where we want instant responses and sometimes I don't think that's for the best. In terms of voice mail, I find if it's used properly voice mail is another step in the process of communication ... but so often we tend to hide behind our voice mail and use it as a screen.

The detriments outweigh the benefits in my view. I'd rather talk face-to-face and live with anybody, any day, than leave voice mails and correspond by e-mail. I can talk quicker than I can type."

Q Do you have a favorite saying, a motto to live by?

"Time brings clarity to most problems. That's a fine line between that saying and procrastination. Often if you give something the benefit of a day's time or one week then the answer becomes clearer. I tend to work toward that motto, let's not make a decision until we have to, because we may gather more information.

Q If you could have lunch with someone, living or dead, to tap into the person's brain, who would it be?
