Abitibi-Consolidated, a Quebec-based lumber producer with Northern Ontario operations, has ratified a five-year collective agreement with its 4,500 membership base. The deal, ratified with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP), covers workers in Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland.
