David
M.
Tanovich
is a
criminal appellate lawyer
in
Toronto
practising with
Pinkofsky,
Lockyer.
He is a
former
law
clerk
to
Chief
Justice
Antonio
Lamer
of
the
Supreme
Court
of
Canada
and an
L.L.M.
graduate
from
New
York
University School
of
Law.
He is
author
of
numerous articles
on
criminal law,
many
of
which have been cited
by the
Supreme
Court
of
Canada
and
other
appellate
courts,
and is
co-editor
of the
Criminal
Appeals
Law
Reporter.
He is
currently working
on a
book
on
criminal appeals
for
Irwin
Law.
David
M.
Paciocco
is a
professor
of law at the
University
of
Ottawa, where
he
teaches Evidence, Criminal Law,
and
Trusts.
He is
counsel
to the firm of
Michael
D.
Edelson
and
Associates, conducting
a
specialized criminal
defence
practice,
and was
formerly
an
assistant Crown attorney.
He is
co-author with
Lee
Stuesser
of the
University
of
Manitoba
of The
Law
of
Evidence
(1996)
and
author
of
Charter
Principles
and
Proof
in
Criminal
Cases
(1987),
as
well
as
numerous articles
on
criminal
law and the law of
evidence.
Steven
Skurka
is a
criminal lawyer
in
Toronto
practising
in
association with
Leslie Pringle.
He is a
part-time lecturer
in
criminal procedure
at
Osgoode Hall
Law
School,
a
faculty
member
of the
Ontario
College
of
Advocacy
Training,
and
a
director
of the
Criminal Lawyers' Association.
He has
written numerous arti-
cles
on
criminal
law and is a
regular contributor
to the Bar
Admission Course,
as
well
as
being co-editor
of the
Criminal
Appeals
Law
Reporter.
