General damages for personal injuries - Loss of sick leave benefits - As a result of an accident the plaintiff, a 53 year old post office executive, was required to take 189 days of sick leave (leaving a balance of 133 days of unused sick leave) - The plaintiff earned over $21,000.00 per annum - The Nova Scotia Supreme Court, Trial Division, awarded the plaintiff $8,000.00 as general damages for loss of sick leave benefits - See paragraphs 52 to 60.
