Paramountcy of federal statutes - Overlapping legislation - Requirement of proof of conflict - The Alberta Provincial Court, Family Division held that s. 3 of the Reciprocal Enforcement of Maintenance Orders Act, R.S.A. 1970, c. 313, which provided for the registration and enforcement of extra-provincial maintenance orders, did not conflict with the maintenance order enforcement provisions of the Divorce Act, R.S.C. 1970, c.
