Sentence - Indecent assault - The 69 year old accused pleaded guilty to two counts of indecent assault contrary to s. 149(1) of the Criminal Code, R.S.C. 1970, c. C-34 -The victims were foster children in the care of the accused and his wife at the relevant time - The offences began when one victim was 11 and the other was seven and took place over three years and seven years respectively - The incidents ranged from fondling to sexual intercourse with one of the victims - The accused used intimidation to control the victims and to ensure their silence - The New Brunswick Provincial Court sentenced the accused to 2.5 years' imprisonment on one count and one year concurrent on the other.
