Summary:
The sheriff brought an interpleader action to settle the competing claims of title to a chattel of a bona fide purchaser and a mortgagee. The Alberta Court of Queen's Bench held the purchaser's title to be subject to the mortgage and ordered the sheriff to seize the chattel on behalf of the mortgagee.

F-1, and held that the purchaser's title was subject to the mortgagee's security.
