Custody - Considerations on awarding custody - Contest between parent and non-parent - A 17 year old girl of marginal intelligence had a baby, which her mother took to raise in her good home with her other children - The mother of the child married and, when the child was 3 years old, brought an application for custody, which the grandmother contested - The New Brunswick Court of Queen's Bench, dismissed the application and awarded custody to the grandmother.
