Adoption - Consent of parents, dispensing with consent, grounds - The Saskatchewan Court of Appeal stated that after the enactment of s. 53 of the Family Services Act the sole ground for dispensing with the consent of a parent to the adoption of a child is the best interest of the child - See paragraph 9.
