ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Robert J. Curr ie i s a faculty member of the Schulich School of Law
at Dalhousie University, where he teaches Internat ional Criminal Law,
International Advocacy, Evidence, and Civ il Procedure. He studied at
both St. Francis Xavier University and the Norman Paterson School
of International Affairs at Carleton University, and has degrees in law
from Dalhousie and the University of Edinburgh. Prior to his academic
appointment, Professor Currie had a civil litigation practice at the At-
lantic Canadian firm McInnes Cooper, where he appea red b efore all
levels of court in Nova Scotia. He has been a member of the Nova Scotia
Bar since 2000.
Professor Currie h as authored or co-authored numerous articles
and comments in the area of internat ional and tr ansnational criminal
law, and his work has been cited by Canadian courts, including the
Supreme Court of Canada. He has acted as a consultant in many capaci-
ties, and since 2009 has been a Commissioner of the Law Reform Com-
mission of Nova Scotia. In 2008, Professor Currie was honoured with
the Dalhousie Law Students’ Society and Alumn i Association Award for
Excellence in Teaching.
