ELECTION CONTESTATION
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2019
CEA: Pursuant to section  of the Act, the deadline for the f‌iling in
court of an application to contest the election of a candidate in an elec-
toral district is thirty days after the later of (a) the day on which the
result of the contested election is published in the Canada Gazette, or (b)
the day on which the applicant f‌irst knew or should have known of the
occurrence of the alleged irregularity, fraud, corrupt practice, or illegal
practice.
ELECTION CONTESTATIONS: To the date of completion of this book in
manuscript form, no actions in contestation arising out of the rd fed-
eral general election had been f‌iled.
