CONTRACTS

This ancient area of the law deals primarily with the formation and enforcement of legal agree-

ments between parties. It forms the basis of virtually every type of commercial dealing and

is one of few areas of law largely grounded in jurisprudence (caselaw) as opposed to statute,

although there are a number of statutes, mostly provincial, which have an impact upon par-
