LABOUR LAW

This term refers to the law of employment as it relates to unionized workers (as opposed to

employment law, which deals more generally with the subject and with non-unionized em-

ployees). It is an area of primarily provincial competence, by way of various provincial labour

relations acts, however there is a signif‌icant piece of federal legislation, the Canada Labour

Code, that governs any situations involving work being done for or by the federal government

TRAVAIL
